We had some crazy weather for April here in Kansas City. When we left the studio that morning their was a light dusting of snow on the ground. I could not believe it, snow in April! The sun was out and the snow melted very quickly. It ended up being a great day.Michael and Jennifer live in sunny California, and we did most of the planning over the phone. I met them for the first time a few days before the wedding at Panera Bread to finalize the plans.
They had their wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kearney, Mo and their Reception was at Heritage Hall in Liberty, Mo. I graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, and it was nice to see the area again. HyVee took care of the Flowers and Catering and did a great job.
The cakes were done by Jennifer's Cousin and were phenomenal. I loved the detail in the wedding cake and design of the grooms cake. Part of the entertainment was provided by Jennifer's brother. He plays in a band and warmed up the reception for the DJ.
This couple was a lot of fun to work with. They both have great families and friends. It was fun watching them at the reception catching up with old friends and family. Lots of laughing and hugs.
